Pixels and Perils: Confessions of an Old-School Gamer

Chapter 1: Level 1 - Born with a Controller in Hand

They say I was born with a controller in one hand and a joystick in the other. Okay, maybe not literally, but my journey into the pixelated realms of gaming started before I could even spell "Nintendo." It all began with those clunky, pixelated wonders that you needed a Ph.D. in button-mashing to operate. From Pong to Pac-Man, I was there, embracing the digital frontier like a pioneer in the Wild West, albeit with significantly less dust and more Cheeto stains.

Chapter 2: The Joystick Juggler

As the years passed, I graduated from Mario Kart marathons to epic RPG quests that seemed to stretch into infinity. I became a joystick juggler, effortlessly switching between consoles like a seasoned circus performer. Atari, Sega, Nintendo – you name it, I conquered it. My parents might have worried about my future, but little did they know, I was mastering skills that would become invaluable in the digital age.

Chapter 3: The Evolution of a Gamer

As gaming evolved, so did I. From the humble beginnings of 8-bit graphics to the breathtaking virtual worlds of today, I've seen it all. I've battled dragons, saved princesses, and single-handedly thwarted alien invasions – all before breakfast. My thumbs are forged in the fires of countless boss battles, and my reflexes are sharper than a freshly honed Master Sword.

Chapter 4: Game Over? Not So Fast!

Some might say that gaming is just a hobby, a childish pastime best left behind in adolescence. But for me, it's a way of life. As I entered my golden years, I refused to hang up my controller and retire to a life of knitting and bingo. No, I embraced my inner gamer with the fervor of a crusader on a holy quest. I became the Gandalf of the gaming world, guiding younger players through the treacherous paths of digital dungeons and teaching them the ancient art of cheat codes.

Chapter 5: Server Shenanigans

In my quest to spread the gospel of gaming, I took on a new challenge: running my own game servers. It's like being the mayor of a virtual town, except instead of dealing with potholes and zoning disputes, I'm busy fending off hackers and ensuring a smooth gameplay experience for my fellow adventurers. From the wild lands of Arma 3 to the nostalgic realms of TradeWars 2002, I've carved out my own little corner of cyberspace where gamers from all walks of life can come together and share in the joy of virtual mayhem.

Chapter 6: Virtual Reality Adventures

But wait, there's more! In the midst of my gaming exploits, I stumbled upon the mesmerizing world of virtual reality. Donning my headset and strapping on my motion controllers, I dove headfirst into immersive experiences that blurred the lines between reality and fantasy. From wielding lightsabers to exploring alien landscapes, VR gaming took me to places I never thought possible – all from the comfort of my living room.

Chapter 7: Legends Never Die

They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but when it comes to gaming, age is just a number. As I look back on four decades of digital escapades, I can't help but feel a sense of pride. I may be older, my reflexes may have slowed, and my eyesight may not be what it used to be, but I'm still a gamer at heart. And as long as there are pixels to be pushed and high scores to be beaten, you can bet I'll be there, joystick in hand, ready to take on whatever the virtual world throws my way. Game on!

Below you will find the servers I host, the multiplayer games I am most often playing, and ways to contact me. See you out in the virtual worlds.
